Geosphere is a term denoting the solid body of the Earth (i.e.
Parts of the geosphere included in the biosphere are the pedosphere, hydrosphere and troposphere.
From another point of view, the term geosphere is usually seen in referring to the various conceptual pieces of "planet-like things" as related to the carbon cycle.

The Geosphere   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-02)
The geosphere is the solid Earth that includes continental and oceanic crust as well as the various layers of the Earth's interior.
The geosphere is not static, but its surface (crust) is in a constant state of motion that gives rise to movement of the continents.
In addition, the chemical weathering of the geosphere by water transports essential nutrients (phosphorous, nitrogen, silica, etc) to the oceans which are used by algae (marine plants) during photosynthesis.

In Geosphere is the solid or mineral part of the Earth, consists of layers, from the outer crust down to the inner core, which have separated through density and temperature.
Although it is impossible at present to sample the inner layers of the geosphere, indirect evidence is gained through studying the way earthquake waves pass through or are deflected in their passage through the earth.

Nitrogen Cycles Project: 9. Sphere Detail
The geosphere is the solid part of the Earth, including the core, mantle, and crust.
For purposes of discussion, we are treating the geosphere as separate from the other spheres, but in actuality components of the other spheres, especially the biosphere and hydrosphere, are closely linked to the geosphere.
Examples of links between the geosphere and other spheres are soil water, aquifers, sediment pore water, plant roots, and microorganisms in the subsurface.

The treatment is based on earlier results for an instantaneous inlet and for a constant inlet to the geosphere in the nondispersive case.
The instantaneous inlet expression for the geosphere release is used when the near-field release decreases rapidly in comparison to a typical response time in the geosphere; the constant inlet expression is used in the opposite case.
The agreement in both near-field and geosphere releases is in general well within an order of magnitude for the variety of long- and short-lived, sorbing, nonsorbing, solubility limited, immediately accessible, and fuel matrix embedded single and ingrowing species dominating the releases and doses in the safety assessment calculations.

What you will get is a geosphere; in the shape of a sphere but with six distinct groups of triangles, and with a very even vertex distribution.
The vertices that were after the first (and every subsequent) tesselation will still be at their original location, since they are at unit vectors (ie (1,0,0), (0,-1,0), etc), and every other vertex will end up where it would be if it were on the surface of a sphere.
