In his book Monsieur Gurdjief, Louis Pauwels claimed that a Vril society had been founded by General Karl Haushofer, a student of Russian magician and metaphysician Gergor Ivanovich Gurdyev (also known as George Gurdjieff).
Pauwels later recanted many things from his book, however.
