 Saving Private Ryan: Sav m/43
According to Second Battle Group, a UK World War II Re-enactment Society that participated in the filming of the movie, the chassis of the two tank destroyers were original, but the hulls were rebuilt.
During a German attack on the French village of Ramelle on June 13th, 1944, a pair of tank destroyers were employed by the I SS Panzer Corps in addition to infantry-supported Tiger tanks.
Private Jackson identifies the tank destroyers that participate in the attack on Ramelle as "Panzers," which is the German word for "armor." Either Jackson was snoozing during German vehicle recognition classes, or he couldn't quite tell that they were tank destroyers (of two different kinds) so he opted to call them by a generic name.

Acting as distant support to the convoy was a detachment of the Home Fleet under Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser, consisting of the battleship "Duke of York", the cruiser "Jamaica" and four destroyers, whilst in a covering role Admiral Burnett had the 6" gun cruisers "Belfast", "Sheffield" and the 8" "Norfolk".

The Germans opted to gradually release the water from the dams rather than release all of the water at once.
This experience led the U.S. Army to make a tank battalion a standard asset for its regular infantry divisions after the war.

First World War.com - Battles - The Battle of Dogger Bank, 1915
With the German submarine war heavily in progress and the German home fleet effectively bottled up by Admiral Beatty's success at Heligoland Bight, German Admiral Franz von Hipper decided to launch a raid upon three British North Sea costal towns by the German Battlecruiser Squadron, comprising five battle cruisers supported by light cruisers and destroyers.
Although the battle was not itself greatly consequential of itself, it boosted British morale and concerned the German Kaiser, Wilhelm II, enough to issue an order stating that all further risks to surface vessels were to be avoided.
Beatty's cruisers, however, were notably faster than their German counterparts, and succeeded in reaching their extreme firing range by 9am.
