 Battle of Dogger Bank - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In following this order his remaining active battlecruisers broke off the pursuit of the German battle cruiser squadron, and rounded on the crippled Blücher, sinking her.
In the intervening time the heavily damaged main German battle cruiser squadron was able to escape.
Although the battle was not greatly consequential of itself, it boosted British morale and concerned the German Kaiser, Wilhelm II, enough to issue an order stating that all further risks to surface vessels were to be avoided.

 Norwegian Homefleet - Ships starting with Ha
On the day of the German invasion of Norway (Apr. 9-1940) Halden 1, en route to Oslo, was on her way into the Drøbak sound and found herself between the German cruiser Blücher and Oscarsborg fortress.
In 1915 she was requisitioned by Den Konglige Norske Marine (Royal Norwegian Navy) and used as neutrality guard near Odderøy Festning (fortress near Kristiansand).
In 1910, when the company took over the newly built Hjelmeland, the intention was for this vessel to replace Haukelid, but this did not come to pass.

 Battle of Dogger Bank 1915
At 4.45 pm (GMT) on the 23 January 1915 Rear-Admiral Hipper sailed from the Jade with the 1st and 2nd Scouting Groups of three battlecruisers, the large armoured cruiser Blücher and four light cruisers to scout the Dogger Bank region of the North Sea and attack any British light forces in the region.
The British units left port only minutes after the German fleet.
The Battle of Dogger Bank was a fairly straight stern chase until the incorrect periscope sighting.
