..so I was able to hear a lot more of Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Animals, and Herman's Hermits than most Americans for many of whom the British Invasion began and ended with the Beatles and the Stones, with the later addition of the Kinks and the Who.
If I'm not mistaken, Gerry wrote the latter in an attempt to get his girlfriend back.
