Walheim, 39, participated in the first two space walks of his career, using his electrical engineering skills to help install and connect a giant metal-and-electronics structure to one platform of the space station.

Enjoying "Oedipus the King" by Sophocles
Oedipus explains (really for the audience's benefit) that he has sent Creon (Jocasta's brother) to the oracle of the god Apollo at Delphi to get an answer.
Oedipus issues a policy statement, that whoever comes forward with information about the murder of Laius will be rewarded, and that if the killer himself confesses, he will not be punished beyond having to leave the city permanently.
Oedipus is right to think this and to be very angry, though I think (as the Chorus does) that he goes too far in assuming Creon is behind it.

The gorgeous 'Lady Stardust' is another song that could have fitted easily on 'Hunky Dory' and works as a kind of tribute to on/off Bowie friend/rival, Marc Bolan of T.Rex.
A song such as 'Eight Line Poem' musically revolves around a piano motif and is held together as a workable composition, lyrically and vocally.
It's a song that didn't need to last as long as it does and its position right at the start of the album, rather than say the end, seems to be a poor decision as far as the sequencing for this album is concerned.

Song Analysis - Loser In The End
The verse-riff (shades of Children Of The Revolution by T-Rex) and the arrangement (with that vibrating chorus-effect used on the guitar) are primarily responsible for the song's glam-rock feeling.
The song form is the one-bridge model with solo sections added with chord progressions different from the vocal sections.
In spite of this, the song is quite listenable and musically not worse (yet not better) than most glam rock tracks of that era.

Dickson had also recorded a couple of songs off Dylan's The Times They Are A-Changin' album in 1964 with the Hillmen, the bluegrass band with Chris Hillmen, Vern Gosdin, and Rex Gosdin.
He played it at, ironically, the topical song workshop at the 1964 Newport Folk Festival, and at a Halloween concert at the New York Philharmonic Hall that was recorded for a possible live album (which didn't come out, though it's often been bootlegged).
That quest was quite apparent in another of the songs he worked on during his journey, "Chimes of Freedom," its call for the abolition of repression not tethered to any specific political or social movement.
