The bodies of many victims were claimed by relatives at a hospital in the small town of Ghotki in southern Sindh province, but some 64 badly mutilated and unidentified corpses were buried Friday in separate wooden coffins at a nearby graveyard, said Vijai Kumar, a doctor at the hospital.

After the reports of the Ghotki accident senior railway officials have left Lahore to reach Ghotki through the Shalimar express.
Awan said that according to the information he received there are more then hundred people killed while several others have been injured however it is too early to quote the actual death toll because these reports have been received by the station master on phone.
Aziz said that it is suspected that at least 150 to 200 people have been killed in the accident however nothing concrete could be said at the moment regarding the casualties.
