	GIGA German Institute of Global and Area Studies
		Prof Dr. Klaus Bodemer, Senior Fellow in GIGA Institute of Latin American Studies (ILAS), was elected president of the Consejo Europeo de Investigaciones Sociales de América Latina (CEISAL), for a period of three years, at its Berlin meeting in August 18, 2007.
		The GIGA Institute of African Affairs participates at the second European Conference on African Studies to be held in Leiden, the Netherlands, July 11-14, 2007, across numerous activities by several members of its scientific staff.

		Sony Europe has announced that they will release a new 2Gb Memory Stick Duo which will be included in special promotional PSP packages.
		Perhaps they will upgrade the capacity of their Memory Sticks in the Giga Pack, or just release an all new Packaged.
		But seeing as Sandisk’s 2Gb memory stick is already for sale and around the same price as some of Sony’s official 1Gb cards I think they would be better off upgrading the Giga Pack.

	SHMUPS!
		Giga Wing, released in 1999 by Capcom and 'supported by Takumi' (who would also be involved with the excellent Mars Matrix the next year) is one of my favourite shmups.
		The enemy designs are varied but generally militaristic (we have a flying pancake, a warship, and a flying wing as bosses), veering towards an Egyptian-Mysterious Cities of Gold-Inca style towards the end; in fact, one of the bosses IS that Inca statue which people have called an astronaut suit (with suitable modifications).
		While these dissections may make Giga Wing look not so nice, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts so that we do get an entertaining shmupping experience.
