Formerly a baby blue lizard with spike hands and a buzzsaw belly, those design elements were carried over here and amped up tenfold with new color, armor, and sculpting to give birth to a Japanese movie monster that really fits the description "bad ass." $16-$40, good for G-fans of all ages.
Gigan is one godzilla's less iconic nemeses, but an incredible example of character design done right here for Final Wars.
Gigan comes in a normal and powered-up version, and they're pretty similar except for the head and hands.

If Godzilla seems a little tired-looking in Godzilla vs Gigan, it's because the suit used in the movie had been in an unprecedented three films, and it was in pretty sad shape by the time it got around to fighting the cyborg space monster Gigan.
The scenes in which people talk about the plot delay the monster appearances for too long, and the length of time it takes Gigan and his pal Ghidorah to lay waste to Tokyo means that you can go ten minutes or more listening to nothing but explosions and roars.
Godzilla vs Gigan is not the film we'd recommend for anyone's first Godzilla experience -- it has too many scenes that run long, and the aliens aren't even bad in a fun way, they're just bad.

Gigan does not impress me that much; the tusk-like hands are okay, but the rotating circular saw in his chest seems sort of weird.
However, unforgivable cheesyness aside, Gigan is a decent foe for the Big G, with his buzz-saw belly and sharp claws.
Gigan is a decent opponent but there was a lot of stock footage.

Like the other Gigan, this release is a bit of a monster cyborg-- moreso than the first This one feels more mechanical because of the hands, and the more savage looking horns and spikes tend to really bring out just a smidge more evil from him.
Gigan's two flavors are pretty much the same, and BanDai could have included a bag with a separate head and hands to swap out to transform one figure between regular and power-up modes.
Gigan is a good example of how to do an interesting upgrade with a new head and new weapon arms.

I know Godzilla movies are not for everyone, but it is hard to say who Godzilla VS Gigan would be for.
The aliens finally call on Gigan, the giant chicken with steal hook arms and a circular saw in his belly (which sounds better - in a bad way - than it actually is!) King Ghiddorah also makes the journey, called down from space by the aliens superior use of reel to reel audio tape.
The battle sequence is extensive and is mostly composed of slow motion footage of Godzilla falling down.

As expected, since he has been advertised in the main event, Gigan is one of them.
Ghidorah and Gigan don't seem to have many moves in their arsenal as they end kicking and throwing rocks at Godzilla, after firing the occasional laser beam from their mouths.
Angorus is pretty much a non-factor with Gigan making him his be-otch throughout most of the battle, at times climbing on top of him for who knows what reason (been in space too long maybe), but looking like he is from the Dog-Style school of kung fu.

Well Gigan was SOOOOOOOO good at fighting, the directors told him he had to lose to Godzilla all the time to make Godzilla the star and not Gigan.
Like I said.....the directors told Gigan he had to "die" for the sake of Godzilla's stardom, and the fans that would be mad.
