Santos Laciar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
On June 8, 1986, he and Jaime Miranda had a rubber match, Laciar winning a ten round decision, and two months later, the Mexican world Junior Bantamweight champion, the late Gilberto Roman, travelled to Argentina to defend his WBC world crown versus Laciar, the fight ending in a 12 round draw.
Laciar kept on boxing and reeled off eight more straight wins, but on October 8, 1988, he was outpointed by Juan Carazo in Caguas, Puerto Rico, by a decision in 12 rounds.
Roman would die in a car crash the next year, and all chances of a fourth bout between the two, which was a possibility that was being talked about, were dashed with Roman's death.

Roman and Greek biographers, like Curtius Rufus, Polybius, Plutarch, Arrian, Diodorus, Justin and Herodotus described the ancient Macedonians as being a people quite distinct and separate from the ancient Greeks.
Although, the term "Hellenistic" period may still be acceptable as a cultural classification of the time during and after Alexander the Great, the term "Macedonistic" period should, and ought to be, used to cover any other historical references.
There is no denying that the period from Alexander the Great until well into the Roman time deals with Macedonian Dynasties, their rule, succession and their eventual interaction, or lack there of with the indigenous local populations throughout the Balkan Peninsula, Asia and Egypt.

Roman Polanski's Death and the Maiden, a film adaptation of Ariel Dorfman's stunning play about the legacy of torture, has more in common with the director's first film, Knife in the Water (with all the latter's unnerving ambiguities about power, sexual transgression and confused alliances among three people) than a straightforward political parable.
Roman Polanski can get pretty over indulgant at times, but three actors keeps him on a fine leash and he shows the mastery he is capable of.

 Tres amigos
The gimmick is that Reynoso is the father, who alternately smacks his sons around and tries to be their pal, a concept which was hardly original (it had been used several times in the 1950s).
Tres amigos is an odd entry in Gilberto Gazcón's directorial credits: his most effective films were generally rather "strong" contemporary dramas such as El mal (aka Rage), Los desarraigados (the first version), and Perro callejero.
Tres amigos has a few vulgar comedy aspects and in one scene a man is murdered in cold blood, but otherwise the film has little connection with Gazcón's more realistic works.
