		Gimme Gimme Gimme (the title taken from the ABBA disco hit which was also the show's theme music) was a sudden breath of foul air, following the lead of Absolutely Fabulous into a non-PC world of monstrous (but often funny) self-obsessed grotesques.
		Although the vulgarity count remained high, the show was showing signs of wear by the third series, and by this point Dreyfus had enjoyed a stab at US stardom with a recurring role as a pianist in Bette Midler's sitcom Bette (2000-01).

		Linda's foul mouth might be vulgar and offensive coming from anyone other than Kathy Burke, who carries off the role with comfortable ease and leads the audience to sympathise with Linda rather than hate her.
