		Gimpo is a city in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea.
		Gimpo Airport (formerly Kimpo International Airport) used to be located inside the city, but is now part of Seoul.

		(The name "Gimpo" comes from the nearby city of Gimpo, of which the airport used to be a part.) For many years, the airport was served by the Gimpo Line, a railway line that no longer exists.
		In 1983, a Korean Air flight that was supposed to land here, Korean Air Flight 007, which was flying from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City, New York to Kimpo via Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Anchorage, Alaska ran into Soviet air space and was shot down.

		Gimpo is most well known for being the location of Gimpo International Airport, the main international airport in Korea until Incheon International Airport took its place for interational flights, except a few to Japan.
		Gimpo airport is still the airport used in Korea for domestic flights however, and it is closer to the centre of Seoul than the one in Incheon is. The airport is now actually located inside Seoul, but the name remains the same.

		There is not yet a train to the International Airport from Seoul (scheduled for completion by the end of 2005), but there are many, many buses that go all over Seoul.
		Alternatively, you can take the bus from Incheon International Airport to Gimpo Domestic Airport, then take the subway into Seoul (there is a subway station at Gimpo (this is only necessary during rush hour when buses can be delayed in the Seoul city center).
		Even if you don't need to stop at the train station, this bus is probably faster than the KAL bus because it doesn't make a bunch of stops (doesn't stop at Gimpo airport and the Holiday Inn).
