Gina Riley, born 16th of May 1961 Melbourne, is an Australian actor, writer, singer and comedian.
Riley became a popular television performer in the sketch show Fast Forward, its successor Full Frontal, and the sketch comedy programs with frequent collaborators Turner and Magda Szubanski, Big Girl's Blouse and Something Stupid, where she was also a producer and writer.
On Fast Forward Gina Riley sent-up such singers as Paula Abdul, Bette Midler, as well as australian personalities Kerri-Anne Kennerly and Jackie Mcdonald.

Kath (Turner) is a forty-something single lady, who is proud of her home, her figure and her spoilt twenty-something daughter Kim (Riley) who has recently left her husband.
Jane Turner and Gina Riley are just the best in the title roles and the supporting cast of Robbins (hilarious as a connoisseur of meats always trying to create a new sausage), Szubanski and Rowsthorn bounce extremely well off each other and make the series seem more real than created.
I can remember when Kath & Kim started as a sketch started on one of the comedy shows (either Fast Forward or Full Frontal) and whilst amusing then who'd have thought that there was enough material to create not only a series but a really clever one at that.
