Giovanni Cesari (Born Frosinone, 25 June 1843 - Died Rome, 10 March 1904) was an Italian singer with a soprano acuto, or high soprano voice.
Together with Alessandro Moreschi, Domenico Salvatori and Domenico Mustafa, Cesari was a famous castrato singer of the late 19th century.
Cesari was overall a remarkable soprano, and although he possessed a veiled voice, he was a master of song with an optimal intonation and an exquisite thrill.

Domenico Salvatori, along with Alessandro Moreschi, Domenico Mustafa and Giovanni Cesari, was one of the famous castrati singers of the late 19th century.
Born at Anagni 27 August 1855, he first started as a contralto at the Capella Giulia which he later abandoned in order to enter as a now soprano to the Capella Sistina.
He recorded, along with Giovanni Cesari, a few phonograph recordings together with Alessandro Moreschi; but these were only pure choral pieces, and none of them were solo.

It had been well nigh twenty years since the public had heard the voice of a castrato, and it is said that when Giovanni Battista Velutti (1781-1861), the last great castrato, sang his first notes, some of the theatre-goers burst into laughter.
In the chorus photo in the third paragraph, there is a man standing at the left of Moreschi who appears to be the same fellow at the back-right of the group photo in this paragraph.
In the signatures photograph, at least one and possibly two of the men besides Moreschi is a castrato; one Giovanni Cesari is labelled "soprano (acuto)." Likewise in the upper chorus photo, at the bottom left, is a man who looks remarkably similar to Domenico MustafĂ , another of the last castrati in the Sistine Chapel choir.
