The Scout wing is affiliated to the World Boy Scout Organisation and the Girl Guide wing is affiliated to the World Girl Guide/Girl Scout Association.
Membership grew rapidly and spread to other countries like wildfire; Scout and Guide units (sometimes called Girl Scouts) cropped up in every district and joined together to form their national organisation.
As the movement spread internationally, some form of organisation was needed to facilitate the work and this need was met with the formation of the Boy Scout World Association and the Girl Guide/Girl Scout World Association.
