UNMIK has drawn up a list of equipment needed for essential maintenance before the respective district heating systems are re-started on 15 October 2000.
The main objective of this project is to provide a steady and reliable source of energy to the populations of Pristina, Gjakova and Mitrovica who are plugged into the district heating grid, thus alleviating the pressure on the power stations and electricity distribution systems.
This project will benefit people from all ethnic backgrounds living in the Pristina, Gjakova and Mitrovica area and who are linked to the system.
