On July 23, 1912, all assets of the SGNRR were transferred to the SNRR and it became the Gladstone Branch of the SNRR.
The Gladstone Branch was not in use during the rest of the 1920's, and for most of the 1930's.
The branch was removed from the San Juan County tax base in 1938, and all equipment was transferred to the SNRR.

The West Brocklebank is the Marine Base for the MD and HC and the North Brocklebank Branch Dock former home to the Liners of Elder Dempster is the base for Norse Merchant Ferries.
The former Graving Dock is now the main roll on roll off terminal for P and O Ferries (Pandoro), the transit sheds on the north side have been demolished to increase the trailer marshalling area.
Gladstone Branch Docks No 1 and 2, in the latter is a Pandoro ferry docking at the east end.

At a meeting convened by Judge Pat Shanahan on 19th July 1977, the Gladstone Branch of SGAP was formed with a small, but keen group of native plant enthusiasts.
In 1982, Gladstone Branch published their first book, Australian Native Plants for Cultivation in Suburban Gardens, compiled by Suzanne Aspland, with assistance from Ruth Crosson, Norm Gibson and Doug Tighe.
Gladstone has played a major role in the development of Tondoon Botanic Gardens, especially in the setting up of a Herbarium, which was subsequently named the Norm Gibson Herbarium in honour of long-time member, Chairman of Gladstone Branch, and collector par excellance.

This collection consists of 160 13”x17” BandW low altitude, oblique aerial photographs of routes of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad (DLW) taken by Fairchild Aerial Surveys, Inc. in March and April of 1949.
These photographs provide a survey of the railroad’s Morristown Main Line, Montclair Branch, Gladstone Branch and Greenwood Lake-Boonton Line (later called the Boonton Line and finally the Montclair-Boonton Line), which are located in the northeastern part of New Jersey.
The Gladstone Branch and Greenwood-Boonton Line were also identified as “P and D Branches” referencing the fact that they were part of the Passaic and Delaware Railroad, which merged with the DLW in 1945.
