		What is the origination of the word "gleek?" It seems like such a strange word to describe spit flying from your mouth.
		'Gleek' (meaning flying saliva) comes into the langauge at the same time, roughly, as 'gleek; (a card game) so I'm going to go waaaay out on this incredibly solid foundation of one semester of historical-comparative linguistics (and one TAing it!) and say that they may very well be related.
		It makes significantly more sense to me that a word would appear in the language and divide into two meanings (one with a metaphorical or idiomatic connection to the other) than that a single phonetic form would be simultaneously introduced with no relation in origin or meaning.
