Glenn Hoddle (born 27 October 1957) is a football manager and former player for Tottenham Hotspur and England, currently employed as manager for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Hoddle announced in 1987 that he would be leaving Tottenham at the end of the season to pursue ambitions abroad.
Hoddle had claimed in an interview with The Times that disabled people were paying the price for sins committed in previous lives.

Former England football coach Glen Hoddle has agreed to visit the disabled residents of homes run by a Stanmore-based charity.
Norwood Ravenswood, in The Broadway, issued an invitation to Mr Hoddle to visit its village in Berkshire where 21 of its 40 residential homes are after he was sacked over controversial comments about the disabled.
Mr Hoddle will meet the 31 members of the village's Special Olympics team, many of whom are soccer supporters.

Just before Mr Hoddle was sacked, the ITV News labelled him "an evangelical Christian".
It is clear that neither Mr Hoddle nor a genuine evangelical Christian would support that claim.
