Glen A. Taylor is a billionaire American businessman and the head of Taylor Corporation, a privately-held multinational company in the printing and electronics businesses with more than 15,000 employees.
Taylor is also known for being the majority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball team, which he purchased a few years after the franchise began.
Taylor has been listed on the Forbes 400 and his company is among the 200 largest corporations worldwide.

Glen Hearst Taylor (born April 12, 1904 in Portland, Oregon - died April 28, 1984 in Millbrae, California) was a colorful and controversial politician, businessman and United States Senator from Idaho.
Taylor was arrested on May 1, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama, for attempting to use a door reserved for negroes, rather than the whites-only door.
Taylor explained that he had run for Congress without the hairpiece and found that voters "didn't have much use for bald politicians" because "I ran the fourth time with it and won." His orignial toupee was made from a tin pie plate, which he line with pink felt and swatches of human hair.

Taylor is one of about 1,000 seniors graduating from the Johns Hopkins schools of Arts and Sciences and Engineering on Thursday, May 23.
A house-fire forced the Taylor family to leave its home in rural Millboro, Va. While his father stayed behind to rebuild, the rest of the family temporarily relocated to Richmond.
Taylor's military training began the summer after his sophomore year at Johns Hopkins -- he wanted to go during the summer after his freshman year, but at 16, he was too young by Marine Corps' standards.

ESPN.com is reporting that Glen Taylor has officially made several offers to buy the Vikings from Red McCombs.
In one, Taylor proposed that he put down $400 million upfront and then $200 million when a new stadium has opened.
That offers is a real head shaker to me. Even Taylor himself says that just because he owns the team, he not sure that he can get a stadium deal done.
