Glenageary (Gleann na gCaorach in Irish, meaning "Glen of the Sheep") is an area in the suburbs of South County Dublin, Ireland; officially part of the Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council electoral area.
Glenageary has one church, St Pauls at the junction of Adelaide and Silchester Roads, which is part of the Anglican (Church of Ireland) tradition and reflects the religious make-up of the past community.
Glenageary has its own railway station which is served by Iarnród Éireann's DART that provides a service between Greystones to the south, and Howth and Malahide to the north.

The model of ‘Glenageary’ in the Ringsend Locks was built in 2004 - 2005, to a scale of 1/10 inch to 1 foot (1:120).
The model of ‘Glenageary’ is made from a block of cedar to the plans of a sister ship, ‘Briarfield’.
She is depicted as in the photograph of Granda Byrne in the late 1920’s in the Grand Canal Locks, which open onto the River Liffey, close to the mouth of the Dodder.

A separate planning application to build 32 two-bedroom apartments and four three-bedroom apartments on a two-acre portion of Traverslea's grounds is currently on appeal to An Bord Pleanála.
The developers paid €5 million for Traverslea on Lower Glenageary Road, Co Dublin, which was the home of business and honorary consul for Malta, Neil Judd, until his death in October 2001.

Rathmore on Adelaide Road in Glenageary is a rare survivor from the late Victorian era with its one-acre plot and stables still intact.
In the 18th century, Glenageary in Co Dublin was described as a place only suitable for grazing sheep but 100 years later, the land was being leased out in parcels for grand Victorian homes to house the prosperous middle classes.
One such parcel became Rathmore - an acre of walled garden with a fine redbrick house at its centre on the corner of Adelaide Road and Marlborough Road.

Raonaid Murray died after she was attacked and stabbed on 4 September 1999 at Glenageary in South County Dublin.
Last night a garda spokesman said there had been no major development in the hunt for the killer.
