One of the most famous examples of this is the case of Jimmy Carter's nephew, William Carter Spann, born to his sister Gloria Carter Spann.
In terms of impulse control, she said William was forever like a 3-year-old...he might intellectually know something was wrong and have negative consequences, but he could not defer the impulse for immediate gratification and fear of punishment did not seem to deter him.
William Carter Spann died at the age of 51.
