 Gnosis
In short: the term "Gnosis" has come into wider usage from circa mid 19th century, having become more and more clearly defined after the discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls and, generally, on many meetings of professionals in various fields (anthropology, comparative religion, religious psychology....) after WW2 (congresses in Bologna and other academic centres).
The essential prerequisite for Gnosis, its fundamental postulate is the recognition of "divine spark" within, ie, an individual "immortal entity" that is not of "this world", nor a part of empirical psyche.
Gnosis is practically incompatible with pantheistic or panentheistic worldviews: Upanishadic or Whitmanian visions of Reality are not gnostic ones.

For a Gnosis Transaction there is minimal network impact on commit, as the changes are already stored to the database, in comparison to a conventional client server architecture were all the changes must be transmitted to the server from the client (or middleware).
The Gnosis architecture facilitates the creation of very large transactions, of thousands or even millions of rows to many tables, which would be totally impractical under conventional architecture.
In contrast, the Gnosis architecture produces errors that have specific reference to which row of which object is in error (see previous article on Business Rule Management).

One very big problem many mystical teachings have, which to me is an abberrationa nd not part of true spirituality or genuine (as I experience it) gnosis, is their guilt trips and hang-ups over the the physical body and associated lower emotional tendencies.
Yet Gnosis, perhaps, and despite its core of unity, is a profoundly individual thing, and what Gnosis is for me may not be what Gnosis is for you.

 Gnosis
Gnosis essentially means knowledge, or as Harold Bloom would have it, knowing.
Rather it is knowing something that cannot be demonstrated or proved, but is nonetheless knowable--as, for instance, one might know the eternal piece of themselves that both predates and will survive this creation.
