Goa'uld mail is a humerous look into what a Goa'uld newspaper would be like.

Wraithfodder's Lair: Stargate Atlantis Fiction "15 Hours"
Because there was no threat, imminent or otherwise, to the Atlantis base due to the mission to the weapons platform, Weir had given full control to Beckett over Major Sheppard, which meant no one would be visiting him until the doctor gave permission to drop by.
Gossip spread on Atlantis with the speed of Goa'uld nanobytes, even if its personnel were somewhat spread out.
I'm just borrowing the characters and the universe for a piece of non-profit 'fan fiction' and will return in one piece (well, usually).

When information regarding the second season of Stargate SG-1 began to come to light, one of the more interesting revelations would be that one of the least used characters, Samantha Carter, would undergo a major change of character.
No longer was the Stargate universe limited to just the Goa'uld (and the Nox, of course), but instead a new race - the first of many - came into play.
Revealed pictures like the one above showed her with Goa'uld glowing eyes.

 Stargate SG-1: Gate Appeal
"Stargate's characters feel real" is a sentiment shared by many fans who love seeing their characters allowed to learn and grow without fear that the "reset button" will erase all development at the end of each episode.
Fans especially love the idea that humans from ancient civilizations were, over the course of millennia, forcibly transplanted to other planets and used as hosts and slaves by the parasitic bad guys, the Goa'uld.
According to current voting, Stargate fans are just about evenly divided as to whether the recent revelation of romantic feelings between Sam Carter and Jack O'Neill is helping or hurting the show.
