The goal rule is similar in the various forms of hockey.
In Australian rules football, a ´´goal´´ is scored when a player kicks the ball by foot cleanly between the two central posts at one end of the playing field.
Although a goal is still scored if the ball bounces first, it must not be touched by hand by either an opponent or a teammate between the kick and the moment it passes over the goal line, nor may it hit a goal post.
