The North Shore, from the river mouth to Teewah proved to be the best option for surf anglers, yielding Bream, Whiting, Dart and Chopper Tailor (although not in numbers) with results rather patchy to say the least. Anglers working the river mouth rock groyne reported Whiting in numbers if not size while the pick of the East side was Peregian Beach with the odd Chopper Tailor at night and Castaways Beach where a few Dart and Whiting were landed during the day.
