Songs That Time Forgot - Goblin Town / Where There's A Whip / Fifteen Birds
Goblin Town is unquestionably the best of the three goblin tunes, a thunderous, pounding war-chant punctuated by dubious synth tubas and more convincing horn interjections.
("Goblin Town" is sung as the Goblins capture a bunch of unsuspecting trespassers, while "Fifteen Birds" describes how the Goblins are going to torture these same trespassers, who have lately chosen the dubious hiding place of a bunch of treetops.) Pretty great, but not perfect - four ampersands.
All these weirdnesses aside, "Where There's A Whip" is still cool enough that in my youth I stuck a tape recorder next to the TV to get a recording of it, and many years later, with my fledgling band Doctor Casino, I undertook to cover it as a pounding rock and roll masterpiece.

We might expect "goblin men." "Merchant" adds one foot to line 474 over the preceding line, and forces the reader to slow, which seems appropriate as a way to close a stanza.
In addition, it is easy for me to get off on the imagery of these young maidens, (as maiden-on-maiden love can get me going, and Rossetti plays close to that), and how she picked up on the hair / glossy head / stretching neck as being such an aspect of alluring female imagery...
