Leto Atreides must be the loneliest person in the world, though he is an Emperor and worshipped as a god.
This is a fine book and better than the second and third of the Dune series, and in fact, quite unique.

Sure, I don't know of a single Dune fan that wouldn't want to see it, but Artisian (The studio that created Dune: 2000 and Children of Dune) has no plans what so ever to continue adapting Frank Herberts books onto film.
You are correct, GEoD will never be made into a miniseries but you are wrong in thinking that the rights are owned by Artisan, which by the way no longer exists.
As I have stated before, the TV rights to GEoD are optioned by the same group that did DUNE and CoD and they have no plans to produce a TV version.

The Flea discloses that his favourite novel of all time is Frank Herbert's "God Emperor of Dune", which I happen to be reading right now.
I liked the Duncan in "Children" better than the one in "Dune", but the first one was fine, and did have a lesser role in that film.
This site says further "Dune" films are unlikely for the time being, but some of Brian Herbert's prequels may make it to television, and there may even be some kind of weekly series (not following the books).
