As already observed, by shifting the Court to Godavarikhani, the poorer litigants residing in Godavarikhani and Ramangundam and also the people residing in the nearby mandals will be benefited.

Following the drowning of 17 coal miners in the 7 LEP (life extension project) in Godavarikhani on June 16 due to sudden gushing of waters in the mine, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited management has decided to provide adequate safety measures in the mine for coal workers.
The SCCL miners rescue team, which is ill-equipped to tackle the water inundation mishaps in the mine, is contemplating to procure state-of-the-art modern equipment to rescue the miners trapped in the mines.
When 17 miners were trapped in the 7 LEP mine in Godavarikhani, rescue teams faced several hardships to retrieve their bodies and took almost 50 hours for retrieving all the bodies.

Seventeen miners are feared dead after being trapped in a coal mine caved in at the government controlled Singareni Collieries in Godavarikhani in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
The workmen had gone into the underground mine named GDK 7 LEP (Godavarikhani 7 Life Extension Project mine), located 110 metres deep, and they were extracting coal when the mishap occurred at around 1340 IST.
Top officials, including Chairman and Managing Director R H Khwaja and other directors rushed to Godavarikhani to oversee the rescue operations.

“The bodies of all the workers trapped inside have been recovered and identified,” a spokesman of Singareni Collieries Company Limited said over phone from Godavarikhani.
