Godinotia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Godinotia is an extinct genus of lemur-like prosimians belonging to the Adapidae family.
Godinotia were about 30cm long, excluding the tail.
Their eyes were large, so they were probably nocturnal, and the shape of their teeth suggest that they ate insects and fruit.

 BBC - Science & Nature - Wildfacts - Godinotia
Godinotia was omnivorous - feeding mostly on insects, but also fruit when available.
There are several lemur-like primates found in the Eocene forests, and some, such as Godinotia, have such large eye sockets that they were probably nocturnal.
Their limbs show that they were adapted for leaping from one vertical tree trunk to another and then walking along the branches.

That's too bad about the adapid primate (Godinotia) being given chimp-like vocalization and behaviour.
I obviously haven't had a chance to see the show, but from the picture of Godinotia at the BBC site, it also *looks* too much like a chimp.
Maybe Godinotia will look better on wider shots (I assume that they at least gave them long tails).

Just watched the first episode of Walking With Beasts on TV (Man, the documentaries marrive real slowly here in Singapore) I can only say that it rocks!
(Well, at least the first episode so far) A few points though: The Godinotia sound too much like chimps, and the forest animals are way too noisy!!
Gastornis screaming, Godinotia hooting, Propaleotherium grunting and Ambulocetus roaring...
