Here is an example of an election done for the invocation of Paimon, a Goetic spirit.
he Goetic spirits are, at best, rather unruly, and the magician who is brave enough to call upon them must arm themselves with a protective magical circle, various seals of Solomon and heavy-duty invocations.

  Goetic Magick
While the Goetic mages were not solely responsible, they were intimately involved with the problems, and when the lesser order dissolved, the Goetic mages were scattered for the winds.
Overall, Goetic magick is very ceremonial and strict, with a very medieval feel, and many Goetic mages tend to rely on old rotes instead of new inventions.
Goetic mages order the beings, bind them to certain tasks and generally use them as their servants.

Steve Savedow's Goetic Evocation is the first workbook ever specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the famed grimoire known as "The Goetia", which is the first book of "The Lesser Key of Solomon", a notorious classic of the Western Esoteric tradition.
Goetic Evocation is an in-depth manual for the ritual magician who is interested in properly practicing the system outlined in "The Goetia", providing detailed instructions for training, preparation, and performance of Goetic evocations, plus thorough analysis of every portion of the workings and a complete explanation of the hierarchy of the Goetic spirits.
Highlights include a comprehensive chapter on the "qliphoth" (the dark reflection of the qabalistic Sephiroth) which is quite possibly the most significant essay ever published on the subject, and a rare translation of the famed "Testament of Solomon the King".

Goetic magick, like most medieval magick, is extremely ceremonial and often calls for strict observance of many details.
Whereas in some traditions, spirits are prayed to or asked for guidance and wisdom, the spirits and demons of Goetia are bound and commanded by the magician to act as his servants.
It is not surprising that the Goetic magick of Abramelin the Mage is only given to the student after the operation for the invocation of the Holy Guardian Angel.

 Goetic Magick
Most Goetic mages spend much time talking to the lesser spirits, trying to gain information and knowledge.
This is tiresome, since they are often not very smart, tend to lie a lot and generally lack deeper knowledge.
Paradox is another major problem for the Goetic mages.

From their infernal abodes these naughty Spirits are called forth to act as personal servants to the Goetic magician to extend his power and execute his will on Earth.
To the charge that such practices bring out the worst qualities in the magician's character, the Goetic practitioner pleads "guilty," pointing out that this is precisely the purpose of this variety of evocation.
If these disowned qualities are not brought forth, identified and controlled, the magician, like the rest of humanity, is doomed to be at the mercy and the caprice of his own subconscious demons, never being allowed the opportunity to subdue these denizens of his psychic menagerie.

Spiral Nature - Reviews - Book Reviews - Lon Milo DuQuette
Goetic evocation deals with the summoning of the seventy-two lesser spirits and demons.
Traditionally, Goetic evocation calls for strict observance of many details, such as the correct ritual hours, lengthy calls, and an inordinate amount of ceremonial trappings.
However, there are some items that the authors do believe are required for the successful (and safer) evocation of the Goetic spirits, including a list of ‘must haves’ with detailed explanations and personal anecdotes as to why they are necessary.

But as is the case with many occult subjects, the proliferation of information on Goetic evocation has spawned some confusing, misleading, and sometimes even erroneous instructions on how such an operation is properly and effectively performed.
Furthermore, the traditional methods of evocation described in the Lesser Key of Solomon are of little practical use to the modern magician, who cares neither for their unnecessary complexity nor for their archaic biases and symbolism.
When the theory behind it is understood, Goetic evocation is truly a practical art.

White Wolf Forums :: View topic - Goetic Angelus
The theme of Goetic magic is the hubris of attempting to master the human soul, and the unleashed spirit of a Virtue should be every bit as terrifying as a demonm of Vice.
The goetic process in the main book talks about overcoming the character's vices, and making them work for the character's ends - instead of being overwhelmed by them, they can be used to overwhelm others - it's questionably how much less evil that makes the goetic mage.
Looked at from that angle, a virtuous equivalent makes more sense - instead of the virtues simply being part of the mage, they can be understood in their drives, strengths, and limitations - and by virtue of this understanding, they can be made part of others.

The 'howling' of the title is believed to refer to the incantations made by the conjuror.
The Ars Goetia differs from other goetic texts in that the entities summoned are to be compelled into obedience, rather than asked for favors.
The Ars Goetia assigns a rank and a title of nobility to each member of the infernal hierarchy, and gives the demons' 'signs they have to pay allegiance to', or seals.
