Gog and Magog - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
According to Geoffrey of Monmouth, Gogmagog was a giant who was slain by the eponymous Cornish hero Corin or Corineus.
Although his discovery of the chalk figures in the Gogmagog Hills has been dogged by controversy, there are similarities between the name and nature of the purported 'Gog' and the Irish deity Ogma, or the Gaulish Ogmios.
Gog and Magog are two characters in the one-man show The Gog/Magog Project, written by Jason Lindner, in which Gog is a performance artist stuck in a cage and Magog is a split personality.

Gogmagog - The Buried Gods is Lethbridge’s account of his discovery of hill figures on the banks of an Iron Age encampment known as Wandlebury, south of Cambridge.
The writing of Gogmagog proved to be a watershed in his life and marked a commitment to a cause that many of his peers at Cambridge frowned upon, although it is unlikely that Lethbridge saw it this way.
In Lethbridge’s eyes, ‘Gogmagog’ and his future works were purely a logical evolution built upon the observations made in the field over the previous forty years.

He was also persuaded into doing an EP with the "quote" supergroup "Gogmagog", a rock opera with ridiculous songwriting.
The beginnings of Battlezone started when Iron Maiden lead singer Paul Di"Anno left the band in late 1981 (because of a difference of opinion with bass player Steve Harris) and went to experiment with his own projects.
After the "Gogmagog" affair, Di"Anno decided to drop everything and start from stratch, and in 1986 he hooked up with bass player Pete West, guitarist"s John Wiggins and John Hurley, and drummer Bob Falck.
