The statues of Gogmagog (or Gog & Magog) & Corineus, were at the entrance of the London Guild Hall until the 2nd world war& they were, supposedly, the original inhabitants of Britain who were defeated by Brute & his trojans when they landed in Britain (the usual usurpation of native gods by incomers!)....
