		The Group joined members of the Royal British Legion, Golcar Brownies/Guides and Parkwood Scout Group in a Parade from Manor Road, to the war memorial at Town End, then on to St Johns church where a service of remembrance was held.
		After the service the Parade continued on to the British Legion, where pop and crisps were available.

	Launds Inn Museum
		In the earliest rent collections of the 16th century for Kirkees Priory, which covered Golcar, Stainland, Scammonden and other villages and hamlets around the area, not one Broadbent is listed as paying rents to the manor estate!!
		By the 1700's things were hotting up even more…In 1723 and the Jacobean wars in Scotland, fellow cousins of the Broadbent's fled from York to Worts hill and Launds to hide from the chasing army seeking parties involved in the campaigns.
