During that year the entire country of Japan was shocked when the Zen temple of Kinkakuji in Kyoto, regarded as a national treasure, was burned to the ground by a young acolyte who was studying to be a Zen Buddhist priest at the same temple.
At his trial he confessed that the reason that he burned the temple to the ground was that he couldn't stand himself or his stuttering any longer and that he felt compelled to destroy anything that was beautiful.

Just for information, the sky over the hill behind the pavilion (part that I cropped out) was not blue at all, but really grey, but you may speak about the sky reflecting in the water when you say blue.
I do believe as you say that the setting of my camera (doing my best to get the reflection in the water in spite of a weak light) artificially increased the luminescence of the sky over the hill, and definitely that could be fixed by some manipulation.
