Golden Sun was most certainly a pleasure to see, because it was one of the very few original RPGs on the Game Boy Advance.
Basically, the storyline in Golden Sun revolves around the power of alchemy, an ancient and destructive power that must never be used by man. In order to unleash this power, the Elemental Lighthouses must be lit, which is what the two villains of the game, Saturos and Menardi, and trying to do.
Golden Sun is a turn-based role-playing game similar to that of Square-Enix's renowned Final Fantasy series (the numerical series, mind you, Crystal Chronicles doesn't count).

Golden Sun tells the story of young Isaac, a boy from a little town called Vale, where everyone is born with the ability to see and manipulate a mysterious universal force called Psynergy.

 Golden Sun - Re-Retroview
At heart, Golden Sun’s battle engine is typical turn-based fare, with the player inputting all characters’ commands and letting them and the enemies beat the crap out of one another in a round of combat, with the typical flaw of unpredictable turn order being present.
Finally, Golden Sun is a very easy RPG, and can take anywhere from fifteen to twenty-five hours to complete.
Still, it’s not a complete waste of time, and is either a perfect starting point for newbies to the genre or something with which to keep yourself entertained for a long road trip, as long as you have plenty of batteries and can look past a boring story.
