 Filmtracks: Goldeneye (Eric Serra)
When people think of the Goldeneye score in years later, it is the four note bass plucking from the beginning of the song that goes best remembered.
Serra also fails to quote the theme of the Goldeneye theme song by Turner in his score, which is another unacceptable blunder.
While his fan base is extremely loyal, their numbers in America are miniscule when compared to the John Barry fanatics, though part of that is due to the age discrepancy between the two men.

 Amazon.co.uk: Goldeneye [1995]: DVD
Goldeneye is a reasonably satisfying entry in the Bond series but ultimately it pales in comparison with the likes of the Bourne Supremacy, which demonstrates how espionage thrillers should be done.
Goldeneye begins with a cracking pre-credits sequence featuring a spectacular bungee-jump from the top of a dam, a great shoot-out and a fun if rather implausible climax involving a pilotless plane and a free-falling Bond.
For me the two stand-out performances in Goldeneye come from Famke Janssen as the completely over-the-top femme fatale who uses her thighs to despatch her foes, and Robbie Coltrane as a deadpan Russian gangster.

GoldenEye, at last, gave Brosnan the chance to play 007 and offered audiences a sharp, polished film with most of the elements that had made the series so successful.
GoldenEye was an exhilarating ride, but not to the point that a more energetic end title would have overtaxed our nerves.
GoldenEye's musical score comes courtesy of French composer Eric Serra, noted for his contributions to the Luc Besson films Atlantis, The Fifth Element, Nikita, and others.

 Movie Review: Goldeneye
Their weapon: a satellite-aided destroyer called "Goldeneye." Bond is, of course, the perfect man for the job to neutralize the Russians.
The first Bond movie in six years and the sixteenth overall, "Goldeneye" begins better than any action movie I can remember since "Raiders of the Lost Ark." It has Bond bungee jumping to a secret chemical warfare base in Russia, and then hilariously escaping from Soviet soldiers.
This amazing stunt sequence is followed by the traditional credits, which are sleek, but not helped by a new title song written by Bono and performed by Tina Turner.

 GoldenEye
GoldenEye was the first to feature the new, more human (some would say Connery-like) Bond that got audiences back into the theatres at a time when the critics were writing the series off, thanks in no small part to a great new Bond in Pierce Brosnan and a superb M in Judi Dench.
GoldenEye strongly competes with Tomorrow Never Dies to be the weakest of the Brosnan Bond films, but thankfully fails by a small margin.
I have managed to deduce that the quality of a Bond film is often reflected by its theme song, and this is a deduction that I am sure a lot of people have come to after seeing the last few Bond films, be it theatrically or at home.

It is also possible that her talents as a singer may be used for either the theme song to the game or for the closing credits.
The game will be based on the 1957 novel and the 1963 film From Russia With Love and is said to follow the storyline closely, albeit adding in new scenes to make the game more action-oriented.
On August 2 EA confirmed that Maria Menounos would provide her voice and likeness for the game as "Eva", an original character said to be the driver and henchwoman of Red Grant [3].

Die Another Day London Movie Review
In short, Die Another Day delivers pretty much everything you could comfortably expect from a Bond movie (with the exception of a decent theme song) — as such, it’s ideal Saturday night entertainment and the best Bond film since Goldeneye.
There's also the suggestion that he's a bit of a liability these days, and perhaps even something of a screw-up, in that no one seems to trust him to complete a mission without blowing stuff up.
Thankfully, Die Another Day delivers on all the above and, amazingly, still manages to breathe a little life into the formula.

 007 Lives to "Die Another Day" - Mar 12, 2002 - E! Online News
Die Another Day stars Pierce Brosnan in his fourth Bond outing after GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and The World Is Not Enough.
Things we do know: The plot involves North Korean baddies; Madonna is in talks to record a soundtrack cut (but not necessarily the title song); Halle Berry is the proverbial Bond girl, and, depending on how the rest of her month shapes up, perhaps the first Best Actress Oscar-winning Bond girl.
And before you ask, no, we don't know how one can "die another day" if, assuming another day is tomorrow, "tomorrow never dies." Unless, of course, you only live twice.

Britmovie - The World Is Not Enough 1999
Continuing the revival of the franchise established by the confident GoldenEye and slightly threatened by the somewhat wobbly Tomorrow Never Dies, this checks off all the boxes on the form with something like panache, if not actual inspiration.
And if you're not feeling good enough yet, the new Bond film features lovely, lovable old John Cleese as a bumbling assistant to Q. So there's no need to be frightened, you know where you are with James Bond.
Otherwise, the star has settled into the role, delivering precisely the required mix of unflappability, arrogance, heroism and smugness while not looking too uncomfortable in the clinches or a tuxedo.

In all fairness, some of the renditions are better than others; "The World Is Not Enough" comes across fairly well, as does "Goldeneye"; However, "Live and Let Die" follows its own advice and "The Living Daylights" is just plain sad.
I just love Bond songs, and Garbage's new song "The World Is Not Enough" is a WOW!
