Gomer has shown no sign at all of being broken hearted for the way she's treated Hosea, and all the things that she's done to other men, and the influence she's had on her children, and the effect her life has had on the preaching of the word of God in the land.
It's only when Gomer realises the enormity of her sin and that she faced an open-ended encounter with a God who hates sin, that she'd know adding superficial religion wasn't going to help her.

His message is stated as a powerful metaphor; in his call to prophecy he is told to marry a prostitute named Gomer, who seems later to become the adulterous wife.
Subsequently, he demands that his adulterous wife (if she is Gomer) or adulterous mistress, whom he has purchased at God’s request, to become celibate in relationship to himself as well as to other lovers (3:3) These demands and expectations are extreme and unrealistic, and in fact inappropriate for his chosen wife.
The fact that the Sages of the Talmud, who canonized the Hebrew Bible, deemed it necessary to dispute the writings of Ezekiel and Hosea suggests that their behavior was eccentric even for prophets.

Volume 3 Studies In The Book Of Revelation
The bible speaks of a great multitude which shall stand up for Christ during that time and will be massacred.
What few Christians desire to acknowledge is that the bible also promises Christians that their prayers shall be answered, all of their needs shall be supplied, all of their sickness and diseases shall be healed, and their shall be a great outpouring of wealth upon the true family of God.
While all this is and should be acknowledged throughout the church, the sad reality is that due to a lack of faith, or a life of sin, or for whatever reason, Christians do not always have their sickness and diseases healed, their prayers are not always answered, and many suffer the bondage of financial poverty.
