I hope and believe that America is finally starting to realize that she has had the wool pulled over her eyes by this Connecticut Yankee prancing around in a cowboy hat.

Good Morning America would be the first ones on the air condemning a violent TV show that supposedly caused someone to kill, but has no problem airing death and destruction, depictions of bones cracking, flesh falling from the sky, all for any small child to see as they get up to eat breakfast.
There are more people in America that will die as a result of a car accident by the end of the day today than died in the London bombings.
There is no doubt institutions such as Good Morning America have a duty to report stories such as this, and indeed, give them enhanced and prolonged coverage, but there is no need to make people fear for their lives.

Yes, cutting funding on Iraq would be inadvisable but redirecting how it’s used, that’s a good thing - a focus on how to get out rather than how to stay there as long as possible if you can get away with it is a big leap in perspective.
If politicians could break out of their party boxes and work on finding good ideas rather than slavishly pursuing party agendas - that is, if the group mindset could be replaced with individual minds working together - then a lot of good could be done.
