Goodwill in Lincoln was founded in 1932 by Miss Eleanor T. Miller who traveled to Boston, Massachusetts, to study the Morgan Memorial Goodwill, founded by Edgar J. Helms in 1902.
Goodwill Industries in Lincoln is accredited through CARF (Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities) and maintains an effective Employment Services Program that offers job training and employment programs to people who face barriers to employment.
Today Goodwill Industries is unique; of all the agencies in Lincoln, it is the only one that serves the broad spectrum of persons with barriers to employment.
