Austin William "Goose" Gonsoulin (born June 7, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas) of Baylor University was a professional football player, one of the original Denver Broncos from the 1960 season.
Gonsoulin was an All-American Football League choice in 1960, 1962 and 1963.
"Goose" Gonsoulin was selected to the second unit of the American Football League All-Time Team.

His 11 pickoffs in 1960 are still a Denver club record, and he shares the team record for interceptions in a game with four, a feat he accomplished Sept. 18, 1960 at Buffalo.
Gonsoulin was also the captain of his college team at Baylor.

Well, I wasn't too far off base.........he had both nicknames....The "Snow Goose" and the "Albino Rhino"....he was a walk on in Minn. in his senior year(?) and obtain the name of "Snow Goose" for his playing(Don"t understand what a snow goose could do to start a nickname for a def.
I think Goose Gonsoulin DB is your man. He was on the very first Denver team.

I could see him as #3 on our depth chart behind Wilson and Williams...in his heyday, he was better than Ian Gold...the other two possess talent at a level that Karl Mecklenburg could only match with tenacity...IMO...
