The idea to focus on Cultural Landscapes in the Jelenia Gora Region in Poland is the result of ongoing cooperative exchanges between BTU and the Agricultural University in Wroclaw; headed by Prof.
All the students who went on the excursion have been warmly asked to return to Poland in the summer semester to pursue the upcoming Study Project on the Jelenia Gora Region as a continuation of what we have started with this first excursion.
This region is also seeking UNESCO Cultural Landscape Nomination due to the outstanding number of separate identifiable heritage objects; some 85,000 with 20,000 on the Polish National Heritage Register; including approximately 4,000 within the Jelenia Gora Region itself.
