Gordium was the capital of ancient Phrygia, modern Yassihüyük.
Gordium is situated on the place where the ancient Royal road between Lydia and Assyria/Babylonia crosses the river Sangarius (Sakarya), which flows from central Anatolia to the Black Sea.
After the troubles following the death of Alexander, Gordium was first ruled by the Seleucid kings of Asia, then by the Celts (the remains of their human sacrifices have been found), then by the Attalid rulers of Pergamum, and eventually by the Romans.

Ah yes, I started Gordium a while (9 months) ago, but got involved in UT2004 development and had realy no time to doo anything else.
Now it looks like Gordium will be released withe the next Community Bonus Pack along with my other two maps (wich BTW are almost complete).
Gordium is almost pute BSP level and it takes ALOT more time to build than simple terrain/mesh level.

I'm also hoping for an Immortal war with Egypt to grab some of the fertile land around Gordium.
I spend most of that 41 gold/turn buying into the middle ages, and after receiving Monotheism for free, spend every last penny on Theology which I can broker for Feudalism and a little bit of map info.
I didn't do a courthouse first because the city didn't have the extra food to whip it, I didn't have the cash in Republic to rush it, and Gordium did manage 50% uncorrupted shields once in Republic.
