Gordon Gund was formerly the principal owner of the NBA franchise the Cleveland Cavaliers, a co-owner of the San Jose Sharks NHL team, and remains the CEO of Gund Investment Corporation and a minority owner of the Cavaliers.
Gund Arena became a cornerstone of the redevelopment of downtown Cleveland, which was also bolstered by Jacobs Field, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the new Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Gund is the former President of the Board of Trustees of his alma mater, Groton School in Groton, Massachusetts.
