 Gordon Korman
When Gordon Korman was in 7th grade, a new English teacher wasn’t sure what to do with the class, so he required that each student write a novel.
Since this was Korman's first book, fittingly enough, this was also the first of his books that I ever read.
I have to admit that this is one of Korman's series that I have never read, but I'm including it here as an example of his work because I have heard nothing but good things about it.
