		Observers agree, the number one factor hindering Gore in West Virginia is his support for environmental causes that have hurt poverty-stricken West Virginians involved in the coal, chemical and manufacturing industries.
		In West Virginia, however, many rank-and-file Steelworkers feel abandoned by the Clinton administration, of which Vice-President Gore is a part.
		Looking at the state's history, West Virginia seems like it should be an easy win for Gore, especially since the state provided double-digit margins for Bill Clinton in 1992 and 1996.
