GLOW (the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was the first and only exclusively, all women wrestling show to ever appear on free television in the United States.
Discussions of GLOW are often passionate, with some sharing their fond memories of the opportunity to witness female wrestling on television from the comfort of their own home.
GLOW was founded by two men named Matt Cimber and David McLane who, with the help of financial backing, put together the general concept for the show.

GLOW House was a running skit that asked the viewers to believe that the good girls and bad girls of GLOW lived in the same house.
I consider the GLOW House to be way ahead of it's time though, and seeing the heels and babyfaces interact on this type of level is something we wouldn't see in wrestling until the Attitude Era almost 15 years later.
GLOW may not be for everyone, but anyone who was a fan of the show back in the 1980s or has heard jokes stolen from the show at cocktails parties, this could be quite a treat.

The energetic beauty was barely out of college when a friend introduced her to the world of G.L.O.W.--the popular Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling organization that followed on the heels of the World Wrestling Federation in the late '80s.
The creator of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling is an Indiana businessman by the name of David McLain, who today heads up various roller derby promotions.
Before long, however, G.L.O.W. was in its last days and Moretti made the decision to devote all her time to P.O.W.W. Without the original crew, Moretti claims, G.L.O.W. began to go downhill with rampant stealing, lying and cheating.

The main problem wrestling fans had with WOW was that the women were picked through an audition process that seemed to not choose any women with a wrestling background.Only a small number of the women were wrestlers before the promotion began (namely the trainers Selina and Thug)
Selina was one of two wrestling veterans in the troupe and a trainer of the other WOW women.

Hollywood was known for her cocky attitude and bad girl image in the ring, which we loved, lol.

The wrestling was decent, and the characters were pretty creative.
This is definetly something that any collecter of wrestling footage would like to have, but due to the short length of it, you would probably only want to get it if you can get it at a good deal.
Having said all this I still recommend the true GLOW fans buy these dvds in hopes that maybe they'll see that the sales are strong enough to actually produce season sets and maybe get some of those extra special features.
