Gorni Kramer, who had learned music at a very young age, thanks to his musician father, would become one of the most famous Italian songwriters, musicians and band leaders of the 20th Century.
From 1939 to 1946, Kramer played with the some of the best musicians of the period, including such stars as Nino Impallomeni, (leader/trumpet player in the 1930s and '40s), and trombonist Nello Di Geronimo, who later resided in South America.
In 1949, Gorni Kramer began working for musical impresarios Peter Garinei and Sandro Giovannini, and by March 1952, he had become a very well-known accordion player as well as a director of Jazz and Argentinean Tango orchestras.

The "Caffe' Espresso - Made In Italy" project by the Italian guitarist Marco Vienna is a very original acoustic jazz CD.
An instrumental rendition of 12 beatiful Italian songs (from the repertoire of Bruno Martino, Gorni Kramer, Fabio Concato, Ennio Morricone, Piero Umiliani and others) loosely played in the style of Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club De France, but with a more modern and "Mediterranean" mood.
Although being an expert in all the swing related styles, including Gypsy of course, in this record Marco Vienna isn't trying to sound exactly like a "traditional" Gypsy Jazz guitarist, goin' on the usual licks and cliches often associated with this style but his goal is exploring new sounds and new repertoires.

Le Festival International d'Accordéon "Gorni Kramer" - Italie
Le 3ème Festival International d'Accordéon "Gorni Kramer" (qui est nommé pour Gorni Kramer, un célèbre accordéoniste de jazz, compositeur et chef d'orchestre italien), a eu lieu les 23 et 24 septembre à Poggio Rusco, Province de Mantova.
De nombreux accordéonistes classiques, de jazz et folkloriques ont profité de cette occasion pour se rencontrer, pour écouter les concerts du Festival, pour participer au concours international et pour essayer les nouveaux modèles d'instruments qui ont été présentés par les fabriques italiennes.
