		I didn't doubt that Goryoumaru was once a normal human and I imagine that Hakudoushi decapitating him stripped out his soul to allow the haku-driven Mouryoumaru to become dominant.
		As for the absorbing bits of other youkai, remember that Mouryoumaru was made from a collection of other youkai, so it stands to reason that he'd have that ability.
		I wouldn't be surprised if Naraku, Hakudoushi and Goryoumaru already know about his time of the month, and Gory was just tormenting Kagura.

	The whole Mouryoumaru/Goryoumaru thing..
		I think haku was the one that makes a youkai able to move even without the soul, I forget...anyway, Hakudoushi assembles random pieces of the youkai body parts and uses haku to link them together or something and thus born Mouryoumaru...
		Goryoumaru seems all against Naraku and clueless about him, and Hakudoushi kills him by behading him...and then some how he's brought back to life and Kagura is to guard him, she listens to Hakudoushi and Goryoumaru to let him escape...and he becomes all "grr!"-ish and turns against Inuyasha and transforms into Moryoumaru.
		He was being used by Kanna and Hakudoushi to salvage the baby without his concern, and when Hakudoushi killed him, he took the shape and gave it somehow to Mouryoumaru, after he absorved both the baby and Kanna (thus Mouryoumaru is now Naraku's heart).

		There, a man with a strange youkai attached to his right arm appears: Goryoumaru.
		Inuyasha's group suspects a connection between Goryoumaru and Naraku, but they can't do anything to prove it.
		I've read the manga chapters for this episode, and it was full of InuKag fluff (which was great xD), so I'm thinking they're just going to expand upon the fluff and put in more closure-ish.

		The plan required set-up, execution, and luck and almost succeeded, but failed only because Kagome purified Kagura's youki (demonic energy/aura) and allowed Inuyasha to fire off the Kaze no Kizu (Wound of the Wind).
		Another point is that the current story arcs involving Mouyoumaru and Goryoumaru has proven that Naraku has had to backtrack and protect Hakudoushi's 'twin' just to make sure he can continue his plans.
