Goslar is a district in Lower Saxony, Germany.
It is bounded by (from the south and clockwise) the districts of Osterode, Northeim, Hildesheim and Wolfenbüttel, the city of Salzgitter, and by the states of Saxony-Anhalt (districts of Halberstadt and Wernigerode) and Thuringia (Nordhausen).
The district of Goslar was established in the 19th century by the Prussian government.

Listers often mention they are researching Goslar, which I assumed was a town.
I couldn't decipher the information but it seems to me that the district responsible for Steinlah is now HAVERLAH.> Could someone who understands German please do a Google and find the civil parish and the church parish and where I can obtain his birth record?> Rena in England.
